Do the Canucks have what it takes for the 2010-2011 season?

Henrik swept the NHL awards with the Art Ross for most points in a season and also the Hart Trophy for MVP so there's no question that he stepped up his game this past season. Luongo also played stellar, but the question is will they be able to repeat their success next season? Share your thoughts, I want to hear from some real Canucks fans

I am a loyal canuck fan even when they let me down every year LOL

As for my expectations this season here are my thoughts

Expectations for the canucks will be at an all time high. They will feel the pressure to do something magical for their 40th year. Also the canucks know that the city of vancouver and canucks fans have wanted a cup for so long.

As for Henrik Sedin, i expect him to be another solid player again this year. He probably won't win the scoring title again this year cause we're putting more balance scoring on the team ( raymond, samuelsson, kesler, burrows, daniel, etc ) but he'll have at least 90 points. Luongo will be better because he won't play as many games this year with Schneider backing him up. I look forward to our rookies making a big leap in their development and if they can provide a surprise we'll be hard to stop. Ballard and Hamhuis are good pickups and although im upset we lost Grabner we should be ok. If we can stay relatively healthy this year we could do some damage in the playoffs.

With san jose losing nabokov, and chicago blowing up their roster. I say this is the year the canucks can make it to the western finals at least. Anything less and it will be a failure of a season. It's time for the canucks to unite and bring us on a ride to remember.

    Enjoy the season!

I am just really impressed with Mike Gillis. He is a lot better than Nonis and Burke. If the canucks have Weaknesses. He goes out and improve the team. canucks weaknesses were defense and depth on defense. He goes and Get Ballard/hamhuis. the Pk and faceoff needed to improve and he gets molhotra. He needed grit and players that hard to play against and he get torres. Mike gillis is the man. The burke team weakness were goaltending and no secondary scoring. Burke didn't do anything to improve. Nonis team had no scoring and grit. Nonis didn't do anything improve it. Mike Gillis recognizes a weakness and goes out and improve it.
