So it appears the bridge will be open to 8 lanes of traffic starting in 2012... 3 regular lanes, and one HOV lane in each direction. I think that's pretty awesome for traffic coming westbound from Surry, Langley, and Abbotsford because the HOV lane currently begins after the bridge. There's nothing worse than the 6am-8am bottleneck at the bridge for people who are commuting to Vancouver for work! (or school).
Oh, another 2 lanes will be opened up in 2013 so I think thats plenty of capacity for traffic flowing in from cities to the East of the Port Mann Bridge (Surrey, Langley, Abbotsford, etc.)
