XBox vs PS3

The classic gamers prefer PS3 for its long heritage of games (Metal Gear Solid anyone?) but social gamers all go into XBox Live and have been hooked ever since. In my mind, there's no question that the PS3 is a better piece of hardware and more compatible with my other electronics but the XBox really seems to have gotten social gaming right. Sending messages and connecting with other gamers on PS3 is simply not as efficient as it could be... which do you prefer and why?

Sony CEO admitted the PS3 was massive fail so u know that cant be good =P
i personally have an xbox360 but i haven't turned it on in ages.. and when i do its only to stream movies from my pc...
ps3 is an amazing piece of hardware though (for its time) and has some great games exclusive to it (metal gear, gt)

whattt he did? i thought sales had been growing over the past few years, i wouldnt call that a fail...

one thing that i find kinda dumb is the new ps3 slim... its not even that slim! i expected it to be a lot smaller than the current system but when i checked it out at eb games i was pretty surprised... its practically the same size except not as shiny lol

I have and prefer Xbox 360. All my friends are on Xbox Live. Over the years I've made some really good friends. I like how I can use the Xbox 360 to stream movies, music, and photos from my computer in my room to my television in my living room. This is the console my real life friends have. On the Xbox 360 I can sign onto facebook, twitter, and windows live messenger.

If I get a ps3 it would be waste of money. All my friends on Xbox Live. Not a fan of any ps3 exclusive games. Me and a friend are huge mega fans of the Splinter Cell series and a somewhat of a fan of Halo. It was not easy earning all those Xbox achievement points. If I have to start all over I would just not play videogames.

Halo was awesome at one time, but Call of Duty has been the best game running for the past few years... have you played it yet? COD4 was awesome but Modern Warfare 2 is even better. I got too good so I had to stop playing lol

My brother and I own a PS3 and personally I prefer that over XBOX 360, I've been with Play Station since the original came out and have always loved playing on it. However I do agree that XBOX Live has the advantage for when it comes to playing online, but if you're like me and just like to play games such as Tekken, Need For Speed, God of War 3 and Fifa against the console or against friends in person, then PS3 is way more fun in that sense! :)

Simon I had call of duty 4 and modern warfare 2 for Xbox 360. Had Need For Speed for Xbox 360 as well. I didn't have too much fun in cod4. The single player mode in Modern Warfare 2 was insane. It really represent what a good campaign should be. Not a fan of the multiplayer. I find it very tiring trying to compete with all those players who play everyday. Had fun in coop. Love coop games. Rainbow Six Vegas and Rainbow Six Vegas 2 were my favs. The only game I still play is Rainbow Six Vegas 2, for coop terrorist hunt.

I have to play Gears Of War 3. They did a phenomenal job with the story in the second one. I don't really play those deathmatches. Again, I love the coop stuff.

Games that I played and follow, Splinter Cell series, Rainbow Six series, Gears Of War series, Halo series, Call Of Duty series, Fable 2, Fallout 3, Street Fighter games, Assassin's Creed series, Smackdown vs Raw series. All for Xbox 360.

I'm waiting for 007 Bloodstone, Smackdown vs raw 2011, Call Of Duty Black Ops, Gears Of War 3, Fable 3, Fallout New Vegas, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, Dead Rising 2, Starwars The Force Unleashed, Marvel vs Street Fighter 3, Teken vs Street Fighter. Of course I would have to read reviews before consider getting some of these.

It sucks they don't make splitscreen anymore for a lot of shooters. nothing beats when your friends come over.

Howdy, Stranger!
