Fun things to do in Vancouver with a group of friends

This post is meant to be a look at all the things there are to do in Vancouver, especially for Winter. It's not comprehensive, and more importantly it's not the kind of generic list you will find on other sites. I love to try new things and have fun with my friends, so I've done most of the things on this list myself at least once. These are just a few off the top of my head but I'll most more if I remember. If you have any questions or think I missed something that should be added to the list, drop a post.. Have fun!

    1. Indoor Paintball (Richmond). Are you a fan of Call of Duty, Halo, or even Goldeneye then this is the thing for you. Grab a few of your buddies and go nuts playing on a real live map with real live guns. http://shockentertainment.ca/en/

    2. Indoor Go Kart Racing (Richmond). TBC Indoor Karts are some of the funnest and fastest go karts I've raced in the Vancouver area.. these things flyy. This is another great group activity, just take a few of your friends and jump into a race anytime. The track is full of curves and you can go as fast as you want, just don't bump the other racers unless you want to feel the wrath of the refs lol. http://www.tbcir.ca/tbc_flash.html

    3. Go Snowboarding at Mt Seymour, Cypress, or Grouse. All three of these great hills are within driving range of Vancouver, less than an hour away! Take your own gear, or do a 1 day rental and hit the slopes for some fun... gotta do it at least once if you live around here, and it's hella fun with a group of friends especially if your an active person. http://www.mountseymour.com

    4. Go to the Casino (Richmond, Vancouver, Burnaby). Whether your a fan of poker, blackjack, or live entertainment and good food, the casinos around here have gotten a lot bigger and glitzier over the years. For Vegas excitement and hometown location, check out Grand Villa in Burnaby or Starlight in New West. Both of these are very nice places to hang out with a group of friends... you can hang out together or separate to different games so its a very flexible environment. Starlight even has a great sports bar with mini golf and pool tables so you can't really go wrong as long as you control your gambling. http://grandvillacasino.com/

    5. Go clubbing (Vancouver). The Granville red light district is a constant source of energy and excitement if your into the party scene, and since it's Vancouver you'll find fun and good looking people everywhere on the weekends (Saturday is the prime night). If the Granville scene seems a little played out, hit up Gastown for a completely different vibe and different type of crowd... little bit more artsy and a lot less jersey shore lol. http://www.clubvibes.com/nightlife/Vancouver.html
